AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar Akal Takht highest seat of sikh religion has banned on the Granthi , Raagi jatha and gurdwara committee who were conducting the rejoicing of two girls around Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Raghbir Singh has termed the incident of two girls performing rejoicing in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Gurdwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib Canal Colony, Multania Road in Bathinda as a gross violation morally and religiously.

The Gurdwara included in this joyous workSahib’s chief granthi Hardev Singh, granthi Ajaib Singh, Ragi Sikander Singh, tabla player Satnam Singh and all activities of the Gurdwara Committee have been ordered to stop immediately.

He said that the marriage of two girls is not only contrary to Sikh ethics but also unnatural.
He has also ordered Gurdwara Management Committees, Granthis, Ragis and Preachers all over the world to be alert keeping in mind this opposite trend.

The jathedar said that Sikhs all over the world should do all their work according to Sikh ethics.
He has also asked to form a religious sub-committee about the whole incident of two girls having fun with each other on 18 September 2023 in Bathinda and settle this matter as soon as possible.
