Chugh calls Congress Manifesto a Regressive piece of paper, full of hollow promises and Retrograde vision | Gurbani World

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, April 6-
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today described the Congress manifesto as a regressive manifesto which aims at delivering shallow and hollow promises to the voters.
Reacting to the manifesto released by senior Congress leaders in Delhi yesterday, Chugh strongly condemned the manifesto & saying it was largely aimed at undoing the visionary and development initiatives taken by the Modi government in the last ten years. “There is a clear indication of perversion in the manifesto”, he said.
The Congress’s promise of giving annually Rs one lakh each to women is as impractical as its promise in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections to give Rs 72,000 every year to Everyone. None of the states where the Congress ruled in the recent past offered such benefits to farmers or women. and now it’s trying to touch the moon with fake promises.
After having failed during its more than 60 years of rule over the country during which inflation touched its heights and rate of growth was at the bottom the Congress is now taking lessons from the Modi model of governance. Chugh said during the Modi government in the last ten years inflation was as low as three to five per cent and prices of essential commodities remained under control to give a boost to the economy.
India’s economy is now one of the top economies in the world due to the Modi government policies whereas during the Congress rule India was bracketed among the under-developed nations.
Chugh said the non-seriousness of the manifesto is reflected by the fact that the pictures displayed on it are misplaced and concocted.
He said as the rate of literacy in the country during the Modi government times has gone up from 60 to 75 per cent there is a clear indication that the BJP would this time cross the 400 mark to form the government in the Centre again.
