The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gave a big jolt to Shiromani Akali Dal and the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday, when many leaders left their former parties to join the AAP ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
Akali Dal’s urban president from Moga, Prem Chand, along with his cadre, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. He is 6 time municipal Councillor and district president (urban) of Akali Dal in Moga. Along with him Sanjeev Kumar Narula (Gen. Sec. Punjab Akali Dal), Jalor Singh Gill (Sen. Vice President District Moga Akali Dal), Rajveer Singh Arora (Vice President District Moga Akali Dal), Manohar Lal (Vice President Moga Akali Dal) and Kamaldeep Behal (Akali Dal) also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
BJP’s Halka Incharge Baghapurana and State Executive Member of BJP Punjab Gurminderjit Singh Bablu also joined the Aam Aadmi Party before Lok Sabha elections in the state. AAP Punjab president Bhagwant Singh Mann welcomed all the leaders to the Aam Aadmi Party and said that their arrival will strengthen the party in Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency. Moga MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora and Dharamkot MLA Davinderjit Singh Laddi Dhos were also present on this occasion.
