CHANDIGARH: Social Security Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur has instructed all child development project officers to celebrate Independence Day in Anganwadi centres of the state.
The Cabinet Minister said that a program has been drawn up to celebrate ‘Independence Day’ in various Anganwadi Centres of Punjab to create a sense of patriotism. It is very important to make children aware about the history of independence of the country. Children of the new generation will be able to get information about the historical background of their country’s independence.
The minister said that the department has also issued a letter to all Child Development Project Officers regarding the celebration of Independence Day in all Anganwadi Centres under them.
On the occasion of Independence Day, she appealed to the parents of children to participate in Anganwadi centres.
